Restaurant in Seoul: Norbu (놀부)

One type of food that you’re likely to encounter in Korea sooner or later is jjigae (찌개) which is stew. One of the most popular is budae jjigae (부대찌개), or “army stew”. This stew was created after the Korean War, when the country used army surpluses such as spam and hot dogs to put into their stew. Continue reading “Restaurant in Seoul: Norbu (놀부)”

Restaurants in Seoul: Yeti (예티) Indian Nepal Restaurant and Bar

I had massive Indian cravings so I went with my friend to Yeti (예티) to try and satisfy them. I was craving chicken tikka masala, which admittedly is one of the most typical things you can have at an Indian restaurant. Little did I know just how untypical Yeti would turn out to be! Continue reading “Restaurants in Seoul: Yeti (예티) Indian Nepal Restaurant and Bar”

Italian Restaurants in Seoul: Papa and Mamma Pizzeria

Papa & Mamma is probably the closest iteration of a mom and pop Italian restaurant in Seoul. Our Toastmasters club decided to kick off our new year party over there. I haven’t been a big of a fan of Italian restaurants in Seoul, but visit them occasionally to get some semblance of what I used to get back at home. I was pleasantly surprised as this was probably the Continue reading “Italian Restaurants in Seoul: Papa and Mamma Pizzeria”

The events usually last for 3 hours and don’t take much of your time at all. Seoul Photos: Yanghwa Bridge (양화대교)

With the enormous Han River (한강) slicing Seoul in half, the city built a series of 27 bridges to help traffic cross it. Being a cityscape photographer, I had to get my share of bridge photos. I especially like beautiful bridges combined with a reflection and an interesting skyline in the background. The first bridge I decided to go to was the Yanghwa Bridge (양화대교) Continue reading “Seoul Photos: Yanghwa Bridge (양화대교)”
