About

Hi guys!

Thanks for coming to my blog! This blog will primarily be used to show nice places to take photos and the restaurants I’ve come across in Korea. There will also be little travel and living guides here and there. Please don’t take any content and use it as your own. Feel free to contact me at ryanmarrmar@hotmail.com regarding the site.

About Me

My name is Ryan and I’m a 27 year old or so old guy just in search of new and exciting experiences abroad in Korea. Six years ago, I studied abroad at Yonsei University (연세대학교) for a brief six months and enjoyed it so much that I still had withdrawal symptoms throughout my whole time back home. After a year doing marketing for a startup company, I decided to go back to the other side of the Pacific Ocean and try my hand at living in Seoul.

With a little cash and the ever impending feeling of myself growing too old to do anything exciting, I decided to drop everything and just go for it. I will be pursuing marketing opportunities for South Korean companies that want to improve their global presence. I also started photography during my first time in Seoul, so it’s only natural that I would return and try to bring you the best of Korea’s beauty through photography. I will be documenting as much as I can of this super modern and diverse city and keep you posted with photography worthy places and the food I eat, along with any cultural oddities and interesting things I come across in Korea!

You can also join my photo workshops on meetup here!

Thanks for visiting and feel free to drop me a note below!

Ryan

  1. Your photographs are impeccable, beautiful enough to show the nature of what good photographing is. I am btw a Korean student studying in Indiana, and just happened to come across your blog searching for some GSAT keyword. Hope you have a really good time being in Korea.

    1. Thank you very much for the kind compliments! I hope you found some useful information for the GSAT, because there are definitely not enough English resources pertaining to it. 😦 . Hope you continue to enjoy my blog and check it out whenever you feel homesick! 🙂

  2. Your photos are very deeply impressive to me.
You can show the Korea very nicely.
Why don’t you have a exhibition?
“Photo sketches on Korean culture from a foreigner’s point of view…”

I hope you have a good time in Korea. 🙂

    1. Thank you Sookyung! I haven’t thought about anything like a photo exhibition, but I do host photography meetups that you are welcome to join! Anyways, hope you enjoy my future photos as well!

  3. Hello , I find that your blog write – up on Seoul milk and cereal (lack of varieties) really very interesting and an eye opener. Milk is very expensive in my country as well and tell you the truth most of us can’t affiord to eat high quality cereal as most are imported.
